During a chemical peel, a chemical solution is applied to the skin causing mild to moderate epidermal damage. The appearance of the skin is improved as the dull and damaged outer layers peel away. The new skin is smoother, brighter, and more even in color and fine lines are improved.

The depth of the peel, and therefore the degree of skin improvement, depends on the type of chemical used. The discomfort and downtime correlate with the strength of the peel as well. We provide both glycolic acid (20-70%) and trichloracetic acid (TCA, 50% and below) peels.

What a chemical peel CAN do…

  • Reduce the appearance of fine lines

  • Treat mild acne scarring and some forms of acne

  • Diminish skin discoloration such as sun spots and melasma

  • Improve skin texture and brighten the skin
